SilverCart 1.2 - Installation

With version 1.2 we tackled some major problems that prevented SilverCart from being loved by the community. There are already some installations running that were done by other SilverStripe developers and not by developed by our agency pixeltricks. But we would love to see SilverCart being adopted more widely.

SilverCart‘s installation process was, frankly speaking, a pain in the rear. SilverStripe had to be installed and on top of that there were 13 further steps of code customization and backend configuration. Those days are over!

We now provide a package with SilverStripe, SilverCart and all other required modules included. You just have to copy this package to your webserver and run the installation script provided by SilverStripe (install.php). As a customer I would expect the installation to be that easy and Sebastian and Sascha made this possible with their hard work and their brains.

We improve SilverCart not only for our purposes but also for the community. This makes us real community-ists :) You can contribute to the project by giving us feedback and by providing bugreports. And of course you can help spread the word about SilverCart and SilverStripe.
