Upcoming feature: Product variations

Some products come in different sizes, colors, shapes, patterns, flavours, materials and whatnot. These are called product variations.

Product variations is the feature that has been asked most often, by both our clients and community members. This also has been discussed in our forum here and here.

Actually we have planned to develop this feature for a later version of SilverCart. But you know Murphy's law - things don't always come as planned...

Currently Sascha is working on this feature for a client project. Since he has advanced pretty far I just have to leak this information :-)

Our implementation of product variations is pretty comprehensive and it covers all the use cases we have come across so far. Needless to say that this feature can be decorated quite easily to fit everyone's needs.

We have no release date scheduled yet, but who knows what Santa Clause will bring for those who have been good.
