Checkout process need 'State' field for US address

I need to add a State field for the billing and shipping forms.

I'm a novice silverstripe users, so how do I go about doing this?

I saw a thread for this here http://www.silvercart.org/forum/support-for-payment-modules/show/409#post409 but it is quite old and the link for the solution is invalid now.

It appears this is an ongoing problem that has been around for quite awhile. I'm supprised that it is still an issue.

Is there anybody here on this forum? Is Silvercart even an active project?

Hi John,

yes, it's active but we had holiday season so we did not check the forum each day.

As pointed out in your email, the state information is missing for US customers.

Since PayPal has different required fields in each country it's not unexpected that such issues occur.

But we consider this as a bug and will fix it with the next release.
