I haven't been able to get past this very same error on my local machine. I am using XAMPP though....so not sure if that's going to be the issue.

I have the cache folder. Installed on a brand new version of SS. Made all the config changes, page changes, themes removed, etc,etc.

Every time I try this...I get this very same error. :/

did you try to install SS + SC in one batch or have you had a working SS install before installing SC? If you try to install all in one batch, it won't work.

I had the fresh install of SS first. I followed the Installation instructions and followed the video to the 'T'.

Maybe it's because I am using XAMPP instead of WAMP?

I tried to reproduce your error. I installed SilverCart on a fresh SilverStripe installation and everything worked fine. What I want to say: I do not know yet where your error comes from.
My suggestion: delete all tables in your database and dev/build?flush=all
What PHP version is your XAMP?

I am going to remove EVERYTHING and try again. I really want to get this working...cause I have a client this will work out very well for. She's in NZ.

PHP version 5.3.1
XAMPP version 1.7.3

Please tell me if it worked.

Still no luck. I don't understand it. It's this same exact error as the original poster...follow EVERY step...still get the same error.

can you check the logfiles (php.log FTW) for any suspicious warnings / hints prior to the error?

Are the required fields already present in your database?

Will see if I can setup a virtual box with your XAMPP version.
